All about Kaweka

The Kaweka Food Company was founded in 2002, naming it after the picturesque Kaweka Ranges we can see from our facility in Hawkes Bay. We set out to create a meal range that would make the most of New Zealand's uniqueness and naturalness while focussing on solutions that would enable good food to be enjoyed at home or anywhere by the modern busy consumer. We love good food and are totally committed to maintaining our high food safety and hygiene standards into the future.

On the 30th April 2011 Kaweka Foods was acquired by Tasti Products Ltd. Tasti is a New Zealand owned and operated business with over 75 years of history producing baking ingredients and nutritional snack bars. Tasti could see the exciting opportunities in Kaweka’s high tech operation and had a wealth of business experience in both New Zealand and export markets to drive growth of the products.

Kaweka now has a growing range of recipes, both in our own brand and also in supply to caterers and large contracts. We are in our new, custom built export capable plant, still based in Hawkes Bay and we are taking our quality message to the global stage. We remain proudly 100% New Zealand-owned and operated, and are still committed to our original philosophy.
